The Psilocybe Cubensis Natal ‘Super Strength’ is a distinct member of the P. Cubensis family that was first discovered in 1995 along the lush subtropical Indian Ocean coastline of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Originally thought to be a new Psilocybe variety, it was later determined to be a unique strain. This variety is known for its fast colonization and robust growth, characterized by its rhizomorphic mycelial growth. The stems of Natal SS are long and dense, turning a vivid blue color when disturbed, while the caps are small to medium-sized and range in color from creamy white to light brown. This strain is highly aggressive and wild specimens are often leucistic or albino. The discovery of this strain is attributed to the well-known South African field mycologist, Jon McGillivray.
